Red Cross helping family after Reading fire

READING, OH (FOX19) -- A family is being assisted by the Red Cross after a one- alarm fire that occurred on Monday evening.

A short time after 8:00pm, Reading Fire Crews were called to the 2500 block of North Kathwood Circle for a report of a fire. Evandale, Woodlawn, Deer Park, and Sycamore fire departments all assisted in the fire.

Three people were inside the home at the time, but were able to get out of the home.

Fire officials believe that the fire started somewhere in the basement, but a cause has not yet been determined.

No one was injured in the incident. Damage to the one story home is estimated to be at $50,000.

The Red Cross is assisting the family.
