4 arrested in undercover drug investigation

COLERAIN, OH (FOX19) - Four people are under arrest after an undercover drug investigation in Colerain.

Officers were conducting undercover surveillance in the 2500 block of West Galbraith Road Monday afternoon when they observed a drug sale between Errol Baker, Skylor Franklin, Brian Bowers and Melissa Bowers.

As officers approached, Franklin took off on foot and was arrested after he was Tasered during a short foot pursuit.

Baker drove off in his car and was stopped without incident by a marked patrol unit.

Brian and Melissa Bowers stayed in their car and were arrested as well. Two young children, ages 1 and 5, were in their car.

Officers located heroin and drug instruments during the arrests and investigation.

Baker, 27, of Cincinnati, is charged with trafficking in drugs. Franklin, 24, of Cincinnati, is charged with trafficking in drugs, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Brian Bowers, 29, and Melissa Bowers, 25, of Independence, were both charged with possession of drugs and child endangering.

All were taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
