HILLSBORO, OH (FOX19) - A lightning strike is said to be the cause of the fire in uptown Hillsboro.
The fire shut down two blocks and caused damage to five businesses Wednesday evening.
According to the Highland County Press, the fire started at around 7 p.m. in the 100 block of North High Street. Smoke came from a building there that hosts five businesses, including two law offices, a bank, a pet store, and a book shop.
The fire was under control in about two hours. Hillsboro Fire and Rescue, Marshall Fire Department and Leesburg Fire Department all responded to the fire.
The fire is believed to have started somewhere between the two law offices.
The fire shut down the 100 and 200 blocks of North High Street in uptown Hillsboro.
So far, according to the Highland County Press, there have been no injuries as a result of this fire, and the pets at the pet store were unharmed.
