Teen gets 7 years for fatal hit and run

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A teenager who hit and killed a 13-year-old boy was sentenced Thursday to seven years in prison.

Kellisha Whitterson, 19, hit and killed Dayshaan Ballew, 13, in Evanston in September of 2009. She also hit another boy, who was not seriously hurt.

A jury convicted her of aggravated vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter earlier this month.

Whitterson, who was 17 at the time of the accident, said she was driving because her passenger forced her, saying he was too drunk to drive.
