Man turns himself in to police after firing shots outside Sprint store

KENWOOD, OH (FOX19) - The man who fired five shots in the air after leaving a Sprint store in Kenwood has turned himself in to police.

Jeremy South, 25, of Cincinnati turned himself in to Sheriff's deputies at Sheriff's Patrol Headquarters shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday morning.

According to police, South entered the store trying to return a phone. After being informed that the phone could not be returned, he threw his phone at the clerk, and started knocking over items. South then went into a fighting stance and threatened anyone who tried to intervene.

When South finally left the store, he pulled a handgun out of his vehicle and fired five shots into the air before fleeing the scene. There were no injuries reported.

This happened across the street from the Kenwood Town Center in the 7800 block of Montgomery Road at about 6:00 p.m. Friday.

South has been charged with Inducing Panic and Assault.
