MT. HEALTHY, OH (FOX19) - A fundraiser is being held today to help support 8-year-old Olivia Doan in her fight against a brain tumor.
Olivia was diagnosed with a level four brain tumor in October of 2010, after which she underwent a 17-hour brain surgery. She now has regular radiation treatments, stem cell harvesting treatments, and chemotherapy cycles.
Olivia's mother, Terina Doan, is a single mother who cares for Olivia full time. She will be out of work at least a year while Olivia receives treatments.
To help with medical costs, a fundraiser is being held with children's games, activities, food, and raffles at Our Lady Perpetual Health in Mt. Healthy.
The event runs from 2-6 p.m.
If you are unable to attend, a donation can be made at any U.S. Bank to the Olivia Doan Foundation.
