Mt. Carmel fourth graders prepare for Opening Day Parade

MT. CARMEL, OH (FOX19) - Students from St. Veronica School in Mt. Carmel are preparing for their appearance in the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade.

The fourth graders from the catholic school are practicing their song line up and getting their costumes ready for the big event. The students are dressing up in costumes that they say best represent Cincinnati.

The costumes range from Cincinnati Reds players to famous Cincinnatians such as William Howard Taft to creative costumes, such as Skyline Chili or LaRosa's Pizza.

Nicole Bauer dressed as a jellyfish, to represent the Newport Aquarium. She says, "It's been really cool and very fun and I think it's really great that we get to go and represent St. Veronica."

The Opening Day parade begins at 10:30 Thursday.
