There will be two local contestants on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" this week.
Elizabeth Meyer, a bartender at Olde Towne Tavern in Covington and from Villa Hills will be a contestant in the episode airing on Monday, April 4.
Elizabeth is a 2000 graduate of Boone County High School and the daughter of Jim and Dianne Meyer, also of Villa Hills. Elizabeth's mother came to NYC with her and sat in the Millionaire audience as her on-air companion for the show.
Elizabeth said that if she won big on Millionaire, she would like to visit her brother who lives in Alaska and trains mush dogs.
Ben Walker, a medical supply technician from Cincinnati, will appear as a contestant on Thursday, April 7.
Ben grew up in Cincinnati and is a 1971 graduate of Courter Tech High School and the son of the late Jane and David Walker of Corryville. Ben is married to his wife Terrie and together they have one 20 year-old son named Isaac. Ben's brother Solomon came to NYC with him and sat in the Millionaire audience as his on-air companion for the show.
Ben said that if she won big on Millionaire, he would buy a new furnace, pay his son's school loans and take a trip to Germany with his family to visit his 'old stompin' grounds' from when he was stationed there in the U.S. Army. Ben's said that his furnace is so old that he can't even find replacement parts for it anymore.
Millionaire airs locally on FOX19 weekdays at 5 p.m., with a repeat episode from a previous season airing at 5:30 pm.
