A Cincinnati Police Department officer was arrested by the Regional Enforcement Narcotics Unit on Tuesday on charges of Obstructing Justice and Unauthorized Use of a Computer.
Police arrested Officer Alvin Triggs on Tuesday. Allegedly, he used his position as a police officer to tip off a drug dealer. He is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center on a $20,000 bond.
According to a memo from City Manager Milton Dohoney, the investigation is ongoing and will be presented to the Hamilton County Grand Jury within the next two to three days.
Officer Triggs was previously arrested in June of 2004 on a domestic violence charge.
