MamLuft&Co. Dance announces two summer programs

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) — MamLuft&Co. Dance inaugurates two programs this summer: Summer Dance Camp for Kids for kids aged 5-10 (in partnership with Contemporary Dance Theater, May 31-June 3) and for adults, college-aged through professional, the Summer Modern Dance Workshop/Intensive with noteworthy guest faculty from June 6-10 at Cincinnati Ballet's Blue Ash Studios.

MamLuft&Co. Dance and Contemporary Dance Theater, Cincinnati's two modern dance non-profits, are teaming up to bring a summer dance camp back to Contemporary Dance Theater for the first time in a while. The Summer Dance Camp for Kids will be held Memorial Day week from Tuesday, May 31 through Friday, June 3 with an open house showing for parents Saturday, June 4.

It is unique not only for its focus on modern dance techniques (utilized to teach kids how to move creatively and healthfully), but it also provides extended care throughout the day for kids aged 5-10. Daily special guests will also teach ethnic dance, theatre, and story-telling.

The Summer Modern Dance Workshop/Intensive is a week-long series of twenty classes for adults, college through professional, and,—as the name indicates—it will be intensive. The week includes daily special guests, such as a former dancer of the legendary Pina Bausch, other former dancers who have worked with notable dance artists like Mikhail Baryshnikov, as well as courses from a lighting designer and musician on inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Both programs tout professional expertise, unique elements, and affordability. More information for both programs can be found at
