MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Three Middletown High School teenagers accused of lighting another student's hair on fire on a school bus will be out of juvenile detention this week and placed on house arrest.
A judge granted the trio, ages 15, 16, and 17, house arrest of this Thursday at a hearing on Tuesday. The three have been in the Juvenile Detention Center for almost two months.
The teens will have to wear electronic monitoring systems around their ankles.
Two of the teens are charged with aggravated arson and aggravated menacing, the third is charged with obstructing official business.
The three were arrested after an incident in early February, when a student's hair was lit on fire. According to school officials, almost a quarter of an inch of hair was burned away.
