The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) has been recognized as the "Best Regional Airport in North America 2011" and as the top ranked airport for its "Staff Service Excellence" by Skytrax, a London-based air transport research organization.
According to Skytrax, the awards were based on more than 11 million survey questionnaires completed by air passengers representing 100 different nationalities in more than 240 airports worldwide in the past year. The survey evaluated traveler experiences across 39 different airport service and product factors - from check-in, arrivals, transfers and gate departures.
"Our entire team at CVG places a high priority on customer service excellence. These awards highlight the outstanding efforts of the 10,000 people in the CVG community who exceed our customers' expectations," said John C. Mok, Chief Executive Officer of CVG.
Mok accepted the Skytrax awards on behalf of CVG at the World Airports Awards Ceremony on March 30, 2011.
