A former Reds player made an appearance at a local middle school, Thursday.
George Foster, a former left-fielder, spoke with the kids of Hopewell Junior School during the school's "Heroes Breakfast."
"I do a lot of things for kids. A lot of camps and clinics," said George Foster, Former Reds Player, "I feel it's important to keep them active and healthy... Talk about those two issues and I just feel it's important to let them know from a guy who's played the game.. Understands the importance of doing it."
Hopewell Junior School was also awarded a 3,000 dollar grant for their participation in the "Fuel Up to Play 60" program, which encourages kids to be active for 60 minutes each day.
