93 animals removed from home being used as animal shelter
FALMOUTH, KY (FOX19) -
Pendleton County Sheriff's office and Falmouth Police removed 93 dogs and cats from a Kentucky woman's home on Friday, after receiving an anonymous complaint.
Carletta Chaney was operating an animal shelter out of her home at the corner of Montjoy Street and Second Street that she called the Pendleton County Animal Shelter, but police say she does not operate with county services.
The ammonia level in the home was very high, preventing police from initially entering the home. After ventilating the building, they entered and found the animals.
Chaney has been charged with 93 counts of cruelty to animals.
