Sheriffs investigating robbery at Dollar General in Columbia Township

COLUMBIA TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred Monday evening at a Dollar General Store.

A short time after 5 p.m., officers were called to the Dollar General Store located at the 4100 block of Plainville Road for a report of a robbery.

Officials say a male entered the store and walked directly to the manager's office in the back of the store. After he entered the office, the suspect pulled out an edged weapon on an employee and demanded all the money. The employee struggled with the suspect, and then ran to the front of the store for help.

The suspect then grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and fled south on Plainville Road in a black 2002 Oldsmobile minivan.

No one was injured in the incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 20's who stands at 5 feet 11 inches and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black knit cap, red and white flannel shirt with a white t-shirt underneath, blue jeans, and dark colored shoes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 513-825-1500 or Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.
