COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Local groups plan to voice opposition for the expansion of Rumpke's landfill during Tuesday's Colerain Township trustees meeting.
The group known as POWER is teaming up with Ohio Citizen Action Group and giving a presentation against the plan to expand the landfill by 206 acres.
Our proposal also includes light industrial development and significant green space," said Rumpke spokeswoman Amanda Pratt. "The issue is still in litigation and we continue to be confident about the outcome of court proceedings."
Ohio Citizen Action has also urged residents to write letters and send petitions to Rumpke.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Township Administration Building on Springdale Road.
