A Colerain Township boy will be honored Tuesday night for calling 911 when his mom suffered a medical episode.
Vincent Taylor, 4, called his dad on March 3 and told him that his mom had falling and was shaking and that he could not wake her up. The father called 911 and spoke to Communications Officer Tami Gilman.
Officer Gilman dispatched Colerain Township EMS to the scene and called the residence. Vinny answered the phone, and told Gilman that something was wrong with his mommy and he couldn't wake her up. He followed the direction of Gilman to unlock the door so EMS could get in. Shortly after he unlocked the door, EMS arrived and rendered the necessary assistance to his mom, Nicole.
Vinny will be honored with the 911 hero award during Tuesday night's Colerain Township trustees meeting at 7 p.m.
