Cincinnati City Council passed a motion 7-2 on Wednesday to keep the 19 pools in Cincinnati open for the summer.
The motion will keep the 19 city pools open by contributing $600,000 of the city's money to the cost of keeping the pools open. The total cost to keep the pools open is $893,274.
The remaining money to keep the pools open will be filled through a combination of private fundraising and funds raised by the CRC Foundation and local neighborhoods, according to the motion.
The two council members who voted against the motion were Chris Bortz and Leslie Ghiz.
