PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - Classes were canceled Thursday at Cincinnati Christian University so students have the opportunity to serve the community.
More than 275 CCU students, staff and faculty gave their day to clean up the Price Hill area as part of Community Service Day, an annual outreach project aimed to help the community.
The group did day of hands-on work along a mile stretch of Warsaw Avenue, as well as other sites in Price Hill and other neighborhoods.
"It certainly does make me feel good to help out and make the community we live in a better place," said Josh Kugler, CCU Junior
In recent years, CCU has donated more than 40,000 hours a year in service to others. CCU has been honored multiple times by being named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for its outstanding service-learning programs.
