Maysville Police say Elzeta Pfeffer, 90, was unable to escape a fire that broke out at her home on West Second Street just before 3 a.m. Friday morning. Her husband, Joe, 86, was able to escape.
When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed in flames and were unable to look for Elzeta Pfeffer due to the smoke and flames. Crews battled the fire for three hours.
