1 dead, 2 injured in Ross Township car crash

ROSS TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a serious car crash that killed one person and injured two others Monday afternoon.

A short time before 4:30 p.m., a 1999 red Ford Ranger was traveling east on State Route 126 near the entrance to Fernold. The vehicle went left of center and was struck by a 2001 blue Chevy Tahoe that was traveling west.

The driver of the Ranger was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner's Office.

Three people were in the Tahoe at the time of the accident. One person was air lifted to Children's Hospital. Another was transported to Children's Hospital by Life Squad. Both are being treated for non life-threatening injuries. The third person in the Tahoe was not injured in the accident.

All of the names are being withheld pending the notification of their families.

The crash is under investigation by the Ross Township Police and the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team.
