Flood water damages elementary school

NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) - Flood waters damaged a local school and six cars that were in the school's parking lot.

It happened just after 11 a.m. at North Fairmount Elementary on Baltimore Avenue.

A school custodian tells FOX19 that flood waters came rushing down the hill into the school's parking lot. He said it all happened within a matter of minutes.

A cafeteria worker's car was flooded up to the windows, and five other cars were damaged, as well.

The students at the school were taken to the upper levels of the school as a precaution. The school's cafeteria suffered minor damage.

No injuries were reported.
