CCH students explore design through field trip to Great American Ball Park

COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) – On April 7, 2011, Covington Catholic's Graphic Design students had the privilege of expanding their classroom learning through a field trip to Great American Ballpark where they learned about the role of graphic design in the "Reds" franchise. The field trip included a private tour of Great American Ball Park and a personalized tour through the Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame curator discussed how the signage and displays were created. Students also participated in a Q&A session in the auditorium with the Reds Creative Department Manager and listened to a presentation on marketing materials.

Overall, the students were given an in-depth look at the creative process, deadlines and the overall industry of marketing and branding a major league team. Teacher Craig Cleveland said of the day, "We couldn't have asked for a better experience."
