FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) - The Florence Freedom will host a seasonal job fair this weekend in search of workers for all types of positions at the park this season. The job fair will take place on Saturday, April 23rd from 2:30pm-to-6pm, at the Home of the Florence Freedom at 7950 Freedom Way in Florence.
The Freedom will be interviewing for game day staff positions including ushers, concessions staff, bartenders, box office staff, official scorer, rally team and cleaning crew. All applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
According to a press release from the Freedom: A summer of fun working for the Freedom has become "Northern Kentucky's first job" for many local teenagers. It is also makes a great second job for teachers and daytime workers. The staff of almost 200 will be a part of an exciting atmosphere that is "so much more than baseball" with 48 Freedom home games full of family fun and entertainment. There are also several major concerts and special events planned.
The Florence Freedom Professional Baseball team is a member of the independent Frontier League. The Freedom's 2011 home opener will be on May 24th, kicking off a schedule of 48 home games through September 1st.
