CLEVES, OH (FOX19) - A driver has been arrested for a crash that killed a motorcyclist and injured six children.
Jason Boone, 29, is facing several charges, including vehicular manslaughter, endangering children and vehicular homicide.
The crash occurred April 10 on East State Road in Cleves. Police say Boone's pick-up traveled left of center, striking a motorcycle head-on. The driver of the motorcycle, Shawn O'Roarke, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say Boone had eight people in his car and only six seat belts. Six of the passengers were children under the age of 18 who were all injured in the crash. Two of the children were restrained together using one seat belt and another child was not wearing a seat belt at all.
Boone is also charged with operating a vehicle without a license, safety restraint violation and driving on the right side of the highway.
He is being held at the Hamilton County Detention Center.
