Could be the end of parents camping out, CPS expect to implement lottery for magnet schools

Cincinnati Public School Board is expected to vote to implement a lottery system to handle enrollment at its 21 magnet schools.

This would mean that it may be the end of long lines to sign for one of the schools. This would also mean that the lottery system would replace the first-come, first-serve system, which would mean the end of parents camping out for days for a spot in the schools.

If they decide to implement the lottery, it will begin this fall for enrollment for the 2012 school year.
