WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

A Metro bus driver was taken to the hospital Friday morning after his bus was struck by a driver who was fleeing police.

It happened just before 1 a.m. in the 2700 block of Queen City Avenue.

A Metro spokeswoman says the Route 64 bus was outbound when it was hit head-on by a vehicle that was being chased by Green Township Police. The vehicle bounced off a wall before hitting the bus.

There were no passengers on the bus, but the driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the car, Marcus Hicks, 27, was arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center for one count of failure to comply with police.

Green Township Police say the chase started on Glenway Avenue when an officer attempted to pull Hicks over for speeding. Hicks failed to stop and ran two stoplights before crashing.
