Police: Drugs and speed may be factors in crash which killed 14 year old boy

NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) -

One person was killed and four people were injured in a North Fairmount crash Friday evening.

Police say 25 year old Anthony Watkins drove through stop sign at the Beekman & Hopple streets  and struck a red car driven by 54 year old Cathy Embry around 5:00 PM. Both vehicles drove off the road and struck trees.

A passenger in Embry's car, 14 year old Jaylind Raven was killed, he was not wearing a seat belt.

Embry is listed in serious condition at University Hospital. Watkins is in stable condition. Passengers in Watkins' car 32 year old Julie Meredith and 32 year old Lonnie Lane are both listed in stable condition at University hospital.

Police say drugs and speed may be factors in the crash, they are still investigating.
