An 85-year-old man has died, after being struck by a car while he was crossing Plainfield Road in Sycamore Township.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's office says that Joseph Van Dulman attempted to cross Plainfield Road between Kugler Mill Road and Myrtle Avenue around 11 on Saturday night. Police say he was crossing the unlit street in a place not designated as a crosswalk.
A 1994 Geo Prizm, driven by 23-year-old Amber Russell, was traveling southbound on Plainfield Road at the time, and hit Mr. Van Dulman, according to police.
Mr. Van Dulman was taken to University Hospital, but died later as a result of the crash.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this crash.
Ms. Russell was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
