FAIRFIELD, OH (FOX19) - A driver was flown to the hospital after a crash Wednesday morning on Bypass 4 in Fairfield Township.
It happened around 12:30 a.m. between Hamilton Mason and Tylersville Road.
Police say the female driver was southbound on Bypass 4 in a Toyota passenger car when she apparently fell asleep and struck a concrete construction barrier and then hit a Ford Ranger pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured and was able to stop his vehicle and was attempting to back up away from the Toyota when he was struck.
The driver of the Toyota was flown to Miami Valley Hospital. Her name has not yet been released.
Bypass 4 is in the middle of a road construction improvement project.
Fairfield Township Police is investigating the accident.
