BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) - Blue Ash Police have arrested a man they say purposefully killed a Canada goose by running over it with his car.
Christopher Baker, 22, is charged with one count of cruelty to animals, a misdemeanor.
The goose was found in the parking lot of a bowling alley on Hunt Road on Sunday, April 17.
According to the police report, a witness told police he saw Baker kick the goose, then drive over it twice.
An arrest warrant was issued for Baker, and he turned himself in to police on Tuesday. He is scheduled to be in court on May 10.
Killing Canada geese except as part of legal hunting or under other limited circumstances is illegal under state and federal law. Deliberately killing an animal in this manner likely violates animal cruelty laws as well.
