WindSeeker ride not ready for opening day of Kings Island

MASON, OH (FOX19) - The new ride at Kings Island, the WindSeeker, will not be ready for Kings Island's opening day Saturday.

Kings Island officials say the severe weather and high winds have delayed the commissioning and testing of the ride. As soon as they are able to complete these tasks, the ride will be open.

Kings Island will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. They will be closed on Sunday, May 1st. The amusement park will be open again next weekend.

The park will open for the season May 13 through August 28th. For more information about Kings Island, CLICK HERE.

FOX19 SkyCam network has a camera at Kings Island that showcases the WindSeeker ride. The WindSeeker Cam is located on top of the Eiffel Tower looking directly at the new WindSeeker, a 301-foot-tall tower that will spin riders 30 stories above the park. This location also provides a fantastic overhead glimpse of the Racer and Vortex, along with sweeping views of the Warren County landscape. Full View...
