A Butler County road has reopened after being shut down for a short time due to a suspicious container.
The Butler County bomb squad checked out a report of a suspicious fuel container on Port Union Road in West Chester.
A passing police officer noticed the container on the side the around 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
The officer called the fire department, who called the bomb squad.
Port Union Road was closed during the investigation. The container has been removed, but its contents are still unclear.
Employees at a nearby industrial park were urged to stay inside until the scene was clear.
No injuries have been reported.
