An arrest has been made in a stabbing in Fairfield Friday afternoon that sent a brother and sister to the hospital.

Fairfield Police say James Terry, the ex-boyfriend of Butler County Prosecutor Kelly O'Keefe, 32, has been arrested in relation to her stabbing, and the stabbing of her brother James Daniel O'Keefe, 27. James O'Keefe is also an area attorney.

The stabbing happened around 2:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Judy Drive.

Kelly O'Keefe was immediately flown to University Hospital by Care Flight. Her brother was taken to Mercy Fairfield Hospital and then transported to University Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

O'Keefe and her brother suffered multiple stab wounds.

James Terry, 43, was arrested in his Hamilton home on Benninghoffen Ave., and charged by Hamilton Police with two counts of felonious assault.

Residents in the quite neighborhood say they are shocked. "Am I safe going to bed tonight? Are my kids safe?  Because someone is going into people's houses and doing these awful things. Because I can't imagine why anyone would want to hurt those two," said Kristal Clark, a neighbor of O'Keefe.

Neighbors tell FOX19 the suspect could possibly be an ex-boyfriend of O'Keefe's.
