LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - An 85-year-old man was finally able to achieve his dream of skydiving.
Clarence Turner Jr. is World War II Army veteran who served in the 503rd Parachute Regiment Combat Division in the Philippines.
Turner was transferred to the 11th Airborne to occupy Japan after training to jump in Tokyo just before the end of the war.
Mike Turner, Turner's son, said that he always told stories about his experiences and expressed an interest in jumping again.
Sunday, Turner was finally able to make the jump.
"I've been wanting to do it a long time," said Turner. "I finally decided to do it on my birthday, 85th birthday. I would've done it a long time ago, but my wife didn't want me to do it. She passed away and I'm kind of doing it for her."
