Summer program offering high school juniors college credit in economics

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A local non-profit organization is offering high school juniors a chance to earn college credit while learning about Cincinnati's economy with a 3-week summer program.

The Economic Center is accepting applications for Today's Learners, Tomorrow's Leaders. High school juniors who participate will earn college credit from The University of Cincinnati while covering various concepts in economics like opportunity costs, supply and demand, and monopoly.

In the three week program, high school juniors will be enrolled in an undergraduate Economics course and will tour local companies like the Clovernook Center for the Blind, CitiGroup Financial Services, Ford Motor Plant and Proctor and Gamble.

The purpose of the summer program is to provide an early college experience while exploring the opportunities Cincinnati has to offer to future leaders
