ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Nagel Middle School is holding its annual baby shower to benefit University Hospital's Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit.
The shower is organized by the students and staff of Team 7-5. The students recently heard a presentation by nurses from the Neo Natal Intensive Care Unit talk about the challenges faced by their young, fragile patients and their needs.
In addition to health challenges, many of the babies at University Hospital are born to families in need.
In an effort to help these families, the students and staff are again collecting new baby goods, cash and Target gift cards. The cash and Target gift cards will be combined to purchase needed baby items.
The list of suggested items this year includes: infant car seats, clothes (preemie to three months), sleepers/gowns, onesies, blankets, socks, hats, infant toys, board books, shampoo and lotions, burp cloths, bibs, or anything you think a baby would love to have. All items must be new.
