ANDERSON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - A Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy was injured while responding to a crash in Anderson Township.

Deputy Mike Ritter was responding to a report of a single car crash in the 8600 block of U.S. 32 Monday night when he lost control of his vehicle on Corbly Road, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole. Ritter was taken to University Hospital in good condition.

The crash Ritter was responding to involved four people, including a 10-month-old baby.

Police say Jessie Adkins, 20, of West Union, was traveling westbound on U.S. 32 at a high rate of speed when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the right side of the roadway and rolled over to the passenger side.

There were three passengers in Adkins' vehicle - Devin Michael, 20, Anaha Craycroft, 23, and Elijah Adkins, 10 months, all of West Union. Elijah Adkins was in a car seat, but sustained minor injuries and was taken to Children's Hospital, where he was treated and released.
