Shooting victim jumps out apartment window to escape from shooter

NORWOOD, OH (FOX19) - Police officers continue to investigate a shooting that happened in the 5100 block of Montgomery Road Wednesday afternoon.

Police responded to a report of a person shot and found a man had been shot in the leg. The victim was taken to University Hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.

According to the Norwood Police Department, the victim was shot in the leg and jumped out of a window of an apartment complex to escape.

The male suspect, Russell Bland, 30, was last seen leaving the area in an unknown direction, possibly in a car. He is described by police as being 5'9", about 210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Walnut Hills and Price Hill area.
