Arrest made after teen shot in apartment

GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police have arrested one suspect for firing shots into a Green Township apartment, injuring a teenage girl.

Greg Jeffries, 27, is charged with felonious assault and discharging a firearm into a habitation.

The incident happened  just before 11 p.m. Wednesday night in the 6200 block of Cheviot Road in Green Township.

Police say five rounds were fired through the front window of the lower level apartment. One of the bullets hit a 17-year-old girl in the arm; another grazed her abdomen.

The girl was taken to the hospital, but her injuries are believed to be non life threatening.

A vehicle containing two suspects was stopped by the Cincinnati Police shortly after the incident. Subsequent investigation by Sheriff's Detectives led to the arrest of Jeffries, who was one of the suspects stopped. There is no word on the other suspect.
