COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - A Southern Ohioan accepted the "Northern Kentuckian of the Year" award, Friday.
Reds owner, Bob Castellini, was honored at a luncheon in the Covington, Kentucky.
The Castellini group of companies has several business in the northern Kentucky area.
The event was emceed by Jeff Brantley, broadcaster for the Reds.
"Apparently, I'm the first Southern Ohioan to be named the Northern Kentuckian of the year, and that's a great honor," said Castellini, "We have a lot of businesses over here with a lot of associates, and for them to recognize us, both as a Castellini group of companies and the Cincinnati Reds, is terrific."
Castellini lead a group that purchased a majority share of the Cincinnati Reds back in 2006.
