People skating to keep Cincinnati city pools open

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - In an effort to keep Cincinnati Pools open this summer, the Cincinnati Recreation Commission held a CRC Fundraising Skating Party.

The event was held at the SKATIN PLACE Skating Rink, Friday.

Many families showed up to support the effort to ensure that they will have a place to cool off this summer.

There was also a homemade bake sale at the skating rink.

Cincinnati City Council recently passed a motion to keep all 19 pools open this summer. They voted to add in $600,000 to the budget for the pools.

Private fundraising and funds raised by the Cincinnati Recreation Commission Foundation will make up the rest of the money.
