FRANKLIN, OH (FOX19) - The driver of a Rumpke recycling truck was flown to the hospital after an accident Monday morning.
The residential recycling truck overturned on Dearth Road in Franklin shortly before 8 a.m.
The driver was flown to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton via Air Care with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved.
"First and foremost, our thoughts are with our driver," said Molly Yeager, corporate communications coordinator for Rumpke. "Now that he is seeking medical treatment, our focus turns to investigating what happened and how we can prevent accidents like this from occurring in the future."
Franklin, Ohio, emergency personnel and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene and are currently working with Rumpke safety officials to investigate the incident.
