Cincinnati welcomes Bike to Work Week

Hundreds of cyclists across the region will be bicycling to work this week, to celebrate national Bike to Work Week.

To make this easy for the first-time bicycle commuter, Queen City Bike is setting up "Commuter Stations" from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in different locations around town each morning.  The Commuter Stations will offer free coffee and snacks, and a bicycle mechanic will be on hand to do a quick check of your bicycle. You can also pick up a copy of the latest Cincinnati Bike Route Guide.

"We give bicyclists free coffee and other goodies as a way of saying thanks for bicycling. Our corner of the sidewalk is also a place for cyclists to meet each other and learn more about bicycle advocacy in Cincinnati," said Gary Wright, President of Queen City Bike.

In addition to morning "Commuter Stations", several local businesses are hosting evening "bicycle happy hours" for cyclists on their way home from work.

The full list of Commuter Station and Happy Hour dates, times, and locations can be found below and on www.QueenCityBike.org.
