INDIANAPOLIS, IN (FOX19) - The governor of Indiana was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon after an accident following his workout.
The governor's office said that at about 1:30 pm Friday, Governor Mitch Daniels was standing near a door at the National Institute for Fitness and Sport in Indianapolis. The door swung open and hit the governor on the forehead.
Governor Daniels was quickly transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. There, the governor's office says he received 16 stitches.
Daniels is reportedly treated and released and is recovering at home.
