WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - The Lakota Educators Association announced on Friday that they have voted to approve a new contract with Lakota Local Schools.
The union reached a tentative agreement with the school district on Monday. The union has been voting since Thursday to approve the agreement.
The 3-year contract includes a pay freeze, a freeze on longevity stop increases and health care concessions. It is expected to save the district $2 million.
The union president tells FOX19 that the contract passed by a considerable amount.
The school board is expected to ratify the contract at Monday's board meeting.
