Two ejected from vehicle in Dearborn County crash

DEARBORN COUNTY, IN (FOX19) -

Two people had to be rushed to the hospital following an accident in Dearborn County.

The accident happened at around 5:45 pm near the intersection of Jamison Rd. and Kolb Rd. in Harrison Township. According to Indiana State Troopers, a 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by 42 year old J. F. Booth of Cleves, OH was traveling southbound on Jamison Road approaching Kolb Road when he lost control of the vehicle. The truck then began to skid sideways and struck an embankment, causing the truck to overturn several times then striking the embankment a second time.

According to witnesses, the pickup truck was apparently traveling at a high rate of speed just before the crash.

AirCare was called to the scene, but was unable to reach the scene due to weather conditions. Ambulances had to transport the two victims to the hospital. They are currently at University Hospital in critical condition.
