FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

Three people are facing charges after an altercation leads to shots being fired and a car wreck in Florence Sunday afternoon.

A short time before 3:00pm Florence Police were called to the area of Kentaboo Avenue and Beverly Place for a report of shots being fired.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle with three people wrecked in the back yard at #2 Ridgeview Drive.

Officers learned that the three men were involved in an altercation at the Florence government center and the car was struck by a crow bar. 25-year-Angel Rondon, 22-year-old Abner Lopez, and 20-year-old Angel Medina-Santiago chased the three men and caught up with them at the area of Kentaboo and Beverly Place. Police believe that Lopez pulled a .40 caliber handgun and fired two rounds at the victim's vehicle, but missed both times.

The driver rapidly accelerated the vehicle in reverse before crashing at the Ridgeview address in an attempt to get away. With information from the victims, police were trying to locate silver Acura with tinted windows. The Acura was located on KY 18 passing Boone County High School and was stopped near Stringtown Park.

Rondon, Lopez, and Medina-Santiago were taken into custody and three .40 caliber handguns were found inside the car. The three are being charged with attempted murder and Rondon was additionally charged with felony assault.
