OAKLEY, OH (FOX19) - Police continue to investigate a shooting that involved an officer Monday morning.

Just after 1 a.m., police received an anonymous call that a wanted subject was in an apartment in the 4200 block of Romaine Drive. The man, Phillip Williams Jr., was wanted for an out-of-county warrant for drug possession.

After getting a verbal consent from Williams' family member to search the apartment, two officers found him hiding inside the apartment.

One of the officers fired one shot, grazing Williams' wrist. Williams was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released. He is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center on an open warrant.

The two officers who were involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave, which is standard in cases like this.

The Criminal Investigations Section and the Internal Investigations Section of the Police Department are conducting investigations into this incident, as is the Citizen's Complaint Authority.
