The winners of the "People's Choice Award" at the Taste of Cincinnati have been announced.
The awards were a new feature of Taste, and allowed guests to be a food critic for a day.
Each restaurant at Taste submitted one menu item and throughout the weekend. Guests voted for their favorites by ladling money into a bucket at each restaurant booth.
The winners were announced Monday at 6:00 p.m. the Fountain Square Stage:
- Time Warner Cable People's Choice Best Dish: J. Gumbo's Bumblebee Stew
- Time Warner Cable Award of Excellence: Bella Luna's Prime Rib Cannelloni
- Time Warner Cable People's Choice Award of Merit: The Bistro's Pot Due Crème
All proceeds collected were donated to the Freestore Foodbank. Over $1,500 was collected.
The Freestore Foodbank distributes over 12 million pounds of food each year to 20 counties in the tristate area to fight hunger.
